Who We Are

I was registered at Malaga Bar Association in 1995. After studying Law at Granada University (Spain), I joined a local law firm in Malaga. I was appointed by Irwin Mitchell Abogados as Head of the Litigation department in Malaga, and continued leading this department after the merger with Cremades & Calvo Sotelo Abogados. In 2013, I joint MLS Lawyers & Solicitors SLP as founder partner with two other colleagues. We offered services through two trademarks “My Lawyer in Spain” (orientated to our British clients) and “MLS Legal”. In 2022 two of the three founding partners decided to continue our own path with “MLS Legal” and our new law firm Mediterranean Legal Studio SLP. I deal with Spanish law in relation to civil and commercial matters, family law, property disputes and banking law. In particular, my areas of expertise are Spanish conveyancing and property law, and I have a Master’s degree in Urban Planning. I am regularly instructed to act as an expert in Courts outside of Spain and work closely with colleagues from other jurisdictions on a wide range of matters. My experience covers litigation, real estate and international family law. I have a great international experience as a family lawyer in Spain in relation with the distribution of assets following a divorce, prenuptial agreements, custody and visitation rights. I regularly participate in international matters and I am instructed by professionals from other countries in relation to recognition and enforcement of judgements in Spain (exequatur), as well as to defend foreign interests in procedures before Spanish courts and the European Court of Justice at Luxembourg. In other jurisdictions, Rosario acts as an expert witness preparing reports on Spanish Law as evidence for proceedings pursued out of Spain. Also, I am helping to non UE citizens to get their Golden Visa for stay in Spain without time restrictions. I have been a lecturer at the International University of Andalucía and I was the coordinator for the Section on International Law of the Málaga Bar Association. I have published various articles in the Expansion newspaper and has participated as a speaker in several international conferences and seminars. I have also collaborated with Málaga School of Law, teaching Civil Law and International Family Law. I have been coordinator of the International section of the Malaga Bar Association, and currently, I am a member of AEAFA (Spanish Family Lawyers Association), STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), and the Committee of BSLA (British and Spanish Law Association). In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, reading, going to live music concerts.
